NmRRL Director Named Fellow of the American Heart Association
NmRRL Director Dr. Stephen Page, has been honored as a Fellow of The American Heart Association (AHA), the nation's leading cardiovascular disease research, prevention, and education organization. After being nominated for the award, Page was voted for the designation by his colleagues. Fellows hold special privileges within the AHA which include voting on key advocacy and care issues, and serving on critical committees.
Page has been a member of the AHA Stroke Council since 1998. Page has also received two grants from the AHA, including one grant that supports ongoing work in modified constraint-induced therapy, and has served in planning capacities for the Rehabilitation portion for the 29th International Stroke Conference. Page also serves as a grant reviewer both on a regional and national levels for the AHA, and is Chairperson for the Rehabilitation/Recovery Committee of the SW Ohio Operation Stroke.
